Arastan is more an experience than a store. It is a place that let’s you take a piece of the desert aura to your home.
They have rugs, masks and other one-of-a-kind objects from the desert regions of the world. The identity reflects this
aura of belonging to the past. The colors are based on the various hues of blue used in the desert cultures of Persia
and Uzbekistan. The overall feel is geometric though feminine and warm.

The identity for Mela needed to be Rajasthani, have cultural and craft links and yet be contemporary and flexible
to change. We used the triangle because it is a very important aspect of India’s religious and cultural heritage.
The manifestation of our mark is meant to invoke joy, celebration, festivity and playfulness.

DOCKMASTER'S HOUSE (Identity Design for a posh London Restaurant)
Dockmaster's House is a listed building in London's Canary Wharf district, which has been
converted to an Indian restaurant. The final mark is in color (above) and the various proposed
marks are shown on the right in black and white. The final few marks look at combining the
compass rose with the chakkra (of the Indian flag).
Green Mango (Logo Design)
Green Mango is a social exntreprenuership website geared to help small businesses like plumbers and carpenters market
themselves to their target audience via the internet. In the reverse sense, it also gives the everyday consumer a portal to
find recommended vendors. The "O" in Mango has been used as a metaphor the mango itself, where the circle within the "O"
represents the seed that co-exists with the mango just as the small-businesses need to co-exist with their neighboring clients.

As part of the 50th anniversary of the IMF, they are calling attention to the plight of the Himalaya, which are suffering from climate change. Reduction in snow levels, melting of
perennial glaciers and the effects to flora and fauna are some of the many concerns. Unlike most of us, the mountaineers of the Indian Mountaineering Foundation see the day to day
effects to the tallest wonder of the world—the Himalaya.

ARI is a marine simulation company. Since simulation is in
essence a reflection of reality, we made the forms of "r" and "i"
out of the forms of "a".
BUDDHA THE FILM (Print Collateral and Logo Design)
The design of the logo and a series of promotional materials for the film Buddha. I used a 'western' treatment for the logo for
a couple of reasons. One, no English typeface can look like Indian typefaces, and the ones that do, look fake and cheezy.
Two, this a Hollywood film that will treat the story of the Buddha in a "contemporary" (aka western) way.
RAW i.e. REACTION AGAINST WAR (Logo and Identity Design)
RAW is a TV channel that looks at the other side of WAR. Despite (or may be because of) globalization, this is the age of fractured and disjointed relationships between cultures.
The goal of RAW is to show its viewers the painful rebuilding of families... of countries that take place after a War... in an effort to prevent further Wars.
DESIGN SCHOOL INDIA a.k.a. DESI (MFA Thesis Brand Development)
I find DESI to be an appropriate name for a design school in India, since desi means "Indian" and it consists of the
first 4 letters of design. The logo is based on 2 main aspects on Indian culture. One, its religion and two, its rich languages.
The 8 petaled lotus is holy for Hindus and Buddhists, and it means openness to other cultures. The rounded forms reflect the
nature of many Indian language scripts.
DESIGN SCHOOL INDIA a.k.a. DESI (MFA Thesis: Brand Proposal Book)
This cover of the thesis for DESI has the letters spell out the full-name name of the school as well as create an outline of the map of India.
COCHS or Community Oriented Correctional Health Services (Logo and Identity System proposal)
COCHS is an organization that helps newly released inmates secure a health care provider, thereby providing a link between the correctional and societal
health care systems. The goal of the identity is to indicate the coming together of various organizations to provide quality health care to former inmates.
The openness of the mark is a metaphor for the newly gained freedom by the former-inmate.
