The Accidental Godman is a story of ancient vedic rites and ultimate human endeavour, violent relationships and men of vast talent laid low by other men with greater power. It offers a cynical view of the machinations of bureaucrats and moneybags of beautiful women and men who suddenly acquire the power of life and death. In this design we looked at the ingredients needed "to become" a Godman, and used that as a metaphor for the transformation of Ranvijay into the godman Vaisahmpati, who founds Kamashrama, the stage upon which a large part of the novel takes place.
