The Betelnut Killers is a farcical look at an Indian community in Oregon, USA and how jealously and hatred leads them to involve a ‘betelnut killer’ from Mumbai. To convey the kitschyness of the plot, and bring in some "Mumbai masala" — we decided to render the illustration with the help of Vijay, a hoarding painter. The typography and paan stains were done digitally.
