Conducted with Roel Stavorinus, this workshop was based on the premise on a greater need for more client-designer dialogue, with greater empathy for both positions and an understanding of design thinking and process. There was a discussion on a range of subjects that designers don't learn in college — how to deal with clients, working methods and techniques. How to engender trust and the quality-cost-time triangle. How and why designers should understand client organizations better. How to embed design thinking in one's company for long-term benefit.
